Recently, it emerged that unscrupulous farmers have been harvesting them before they mature and that hurts the export market pretty badly.

Another issue we have to contend with now is that the local market is mostly supplied with the non-export grade. Double edged sword in that we're earning from the increased sales out of the country and in fact lead the continent but sasa kwa soko tunaletewa mabakisho. If you have a small garden, it's imperative to have at least one tree of the exotic kind.
