Renowned lawyer and human rights defender Njonjo Mue on Friday evening shocked Nairobi City residents after being seen walking naked.



The city lawyer in a short video clip that has been leaked online is seen walking in the middle of the busy highway blocking vehicles to sit on the bonnet.

According to Kabando wa Kabando,the lawyer has been taken to safety and is expected to undergo medication.

The lawyer back in 2020 went viral after holding a solo public prayer for the fall of President Uhuru Kenyatta at Uhuru Park.

Mr Mue had asked Kenyans to join him for prayers to ask God to remove President Kenyatta from power, but his calls went unheeded as only he and a handful of journalists showed up at the venue.

One does not easily dismiss the advice of wazees. But here lies the problem. They are traumatized. These old men and women will not even speak ill of the government over the phone as memories of the Kanu days where they whispered in maize fields to each other so when the wind blew the leaves muffled their voices.

They are beyond help. Stagnant, fearful, eyes wide. Like deers caught in the headlights, they would rather stay put and get run over than move in either direction.

They will tell you, better Uhuru, better Raila, better Kalonzo as they douse their daily financial problems in cheap liquor.

Their time came and went. It is now our time to make our own mistakes and suffer the consequences if we must. Maisha lazima isonge mbele.
