Kenya records 866 new Covid-19 cases

Kenya has today recorded 866 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 7,815 tested in the last 24 hours. The country's total cases are now at 87,284.

So far, 919,411 tests have been conducted in the country since March 2020.

Nairobi county still leads with 273 cases followed by Mombasa 78 and Nakuru 73. Kiambu 55, Kirinyaga 49, Nyamira 35, Kisumu 27, Kilifi 23, Kajiado 23, Uasin Gishu 21, Nyeri 21, Meru 19, Kericho 18, Busia 16, Machakos 15, Kisii 13, Bomet 12 and Tana River 11.

Siaya 11, Migori 10, Taita Taveta 9, Laikipia 9, Bungoma 8, Baringo 8, Muranga 4, Embu 4, Homa Bay 3, Vihiga 3, Kitui 3, Lamu 3, Garissa 2, Nandi 2, Nyandarua , Narok, Wajir, Makuemi and Isiolo has single cases each.

Sadly, 6 patients have succumbed to the virus in the last 24hours bringing the total deaths to 1,506

322 patients have been discharged bringing the total recoveries to 68,110. 259 were on home Base care program while 63 were discharged from various hospitals around the country.
