Kenya posta has become Greedy and this may hinder online shopping especially for those relying on posta.

Currently posta has imposed 100/) handling fees on every parcel one receives in local post offices. In Nairobi it has been 175/= in addition to handling fees you will now be charged some storage fees for the number of days your parcel stays at the post office whether you are notified or not. No parcel will be put in your mailbox henceforth. I know there are people who cannot see a problem here but there is a problem especially if you buy items in small quantities. Remember if you buy buy an item on a aliexpress or elsewhere you pay the shipping fees which is meant to pay for the postage cost. I have about 11 items I ordered in November mostly 2$ and below by now paying the 100 bob their cost will increase by between 33% to 100%.
So at the moment it is only sensible to buy a parcel that is quite expensive or buy from a single store several items and let them be packaged together if they are small items.

How about you write a complaint letter to the management. If we all do that persistently enough, they will sense our displeasure, and might be persuaded to rescind that decision.

Mimi hata kuna mizigo nangoja na sijaziona posta and still no notification. Hio handling + storage fee ikipita bei ya item wanaeza kaa nayo..... Washeenz

Haven't you guys being paying the KES. 100 handling fees? I use my school's post office box and they always charge me that.

When are new lateness charges being effected?

Halafu the person who draws their pricing policy seems to draw ideas from up his ***". The other year they raised the box rental for their corporate customers from 6900 to 10000. My boss said heck! Forget. We continued going for our mail until when they locked the box.

I wish I had free time. I would have been going there every day, sometimes even multiple times a day with a long list of tracking number and reading them out slowly for them to find my parcels

their rental boxes are damn expensive !

I have picked about 100 parcels from AliExpress and paid no cent. The only time I payed handling fees was when the item was being taxed and I could pay both the tax and 175 bob. But I was called last week to pick my parcel and was told this time kuna handling fees. Kwa ile notification nimeona wameandika 175 so sitaipeleka heri nilipe 100 bob
