Unaona kama this mega project will be actualised during our time. Kama oil ilitushida
It is not even a mega project to begin with. According to Ndii, the feasibility studies have been done and it has been deemed viable and profitable. If it is handled by the private sector it will be completed quite quickly.

Turkana county receives more rainfall than Kirinyaga county, it's only that rainwater harvesting is alien to Kenya.

National irrigation board has experts who are taking the 'basics' into consideration and if this government will fund what NIB has in mind, in 8 years time, fruits and vegetables will be the main export from Turkana.

Forgive my friend BigDog. His only source of info on Kenya is from Tuko alerts on his Opera Mini.

I have seen many dry countries adopt water pans as a way to at least harvest a bit of water for irrigation. They have been quite successful but with the long drought, I doubt they would be a long term plan. Dams should be the goal in the long term and waterpans in the short term. Deliberate efforts will change Turkana for the better in the shortest time.
