In search of the elusive bursary funds

We really need to think well and hard. We elect those that care very little our well being. Maybe it's time to Fagia Wote like Sri Lanka.

And miss me with BBI bulls*it because even though we'd have gotten more constituencies, the downside of the document would've been worse as the country is broke.

Tuamke na tufikirie sana kabla election ya August.

On a light note atleast they’re queuing for a worthy cause unlike Americans who queue outside shops so as to get bargains on Black Friday :ROFLMAO:
But seriously though we need to make right choices and it’s sad coz these type of people queuing here are the same that elect clown leaders coz of small handouts!

Its painful
i.e the realization that the majority public will go right on and elect and reelect the exact same groupings of thieves responsible for the mess.

Who is giving these bursaries and what is the criteria? First come first served?? My thinking is corruption ha permeated this noble intent. There must be a formal manner of handling these limited opportunity without some middle (busy bodies) hijacking it for cash otherwise. Otherwise it should be an 8 to 5 affair. Someone kindly share the procedure.

Bit deeper than that really. It’s a vicious cycle why people with little to no education tend to have more kids…
We have to start somewhere. You can't blame the MP no matter how non performing he is because no one can legislate poverty/wealth. This is the education the govt should be including in the syllabus sio zile upuzzy nmeona Hapa za CBC. We can have 100% skilled population but remain desperately poor. Kibaki's message in '70s was family planning, yet the level of poverty in '70s is nothing compared to what we have now. That was abandoned by the successive govt for political reasons. More poverty=more desperation=easy manipulation. If anyone is ready to eliminate the level of poverty we see around, first step is to cut population growth rate.

I rarely agree with that man but on this one it's the truth. Even if we get Christ kind of savior, he'll not help us eradicate poverty if population growth is more than wealth production
I think if independence govt had stuck to its word and eradicated illiteracy 100% back then we would be very different by now even population wise?
That’s where I think the ‘Asian tigers’ left us behind.

Google tells me our current growth rate is 2.3%, 0.1 for South Korea, and -0.3 for Singapore. You now know the number one factor.

Kenya is big, really big but we barely utilize the almost 600K km-sq. Many richer countries have crazy populations per density including those you have listed. The good news is I read today that ngafament will repossess idle land owned by parastatals and lease it to private investors for commercial agriculture to rev up the production of food for local supply and exports and create new jobs. {https://www.businessdailyafrica.com...arming-nod-on-state-land-sitting-idle-3813782}

However, family planning should really be made into a PSA so that people sire those who they can manage, despite the eventualities of life.

% of land that can be put to use? Someone just mentioned only 10% of our land is arable. Suggest what we can do with the rest.

Well, it is true that more than half and maybe even up to 70% of our land isn't arable but we can do a lot with that which we have. Also, land as a factor of production will always be true but our well educated productive-age populace has been at the forefront of putting Kenya ahead of our African peers by innovation and such efforts should not be ignored.

There you have it. Population isn't the issue, it's wealth production.
I am saying that as a father of 6.

Chiefs are still arresting parents, who are refusing their kids from joining form one, In this frigging country. Blaming the government for your personal responsibility is so 90's.
