ICT practioners Bill; Why has nobody thought of this perspective?

This bill is propably sponsored by colonial powers to hold Africa in specic Kenya back in the tech world. Soo many tech companies have been setting base in Kenya for the relatively cheap labour and this directly leads to loss of jobs in US and European countries. To combat this they use corrupt African leaders to set up the old style bureacracy that has worked in various sectors in hendering both entry and growth. This is nothing new.

I actually just refered to Duale as of the corrupt leaders colonial powers use to implement such policies that hinder Kenya's growth. Once again your comprehension skills are lacking.
Sawa, I lack comprehension skills sir. How did the conspiracy start? How will the proposed law affect India and other big exporters of IT talent? Why would US target Kenya only while not stopping Microsoft from opening a big software house in Nairobi?

Mambo za software, I lack comprehension.

You are a very poor conspirator.
Wouldn't the passage of the bill only leave the field to the big corporations that are setting base in Africa, since they are the only compliant ones?
Won't the bill achieve the opposite of your legless conspiracy theory?

Conspiracy theorists look for the most complicated explanation for the simplest of things. Wana akili mingi sana. That's why they overthink. It's a way of utilizing their over powered brains.

Wacha kuniangusha bwana. The bill proposes practitioners to register and have degrees, not the corporations. The companies will still set up here but won't get the labour they need because of regulations.

Now, here's where the problem comes in. No university in Kenya teaches the necessary practical skills needed in today's ICT industry. When they catch up, what they teach is usually obsolete.

That's why many turn to YouTube, other internet sources and informal training programmes instituted by the like of Google and Microsoft to learn. Andela and Google had a partnership that thousands benefited from.

Since prospective practitioners don't need a degree to learn their craft, why is a bill looking to force practitioners to get degrees and register?

So in short, the bill would force corporations to employ guys without the desired skills, just to meet the degree requirement.

Not really. If that were the case then Indian would've been the first. USA companies and organizations outsource IT services from India. That's an article written by one who thinks all the problems Africa faces are because of mzungus

They need not have degrees but they can register...whether you have a cert, dip, higher dip...the body to be created should have register of its members.

With people learning from informal sources like YouTube and Stack Overflow, where are those people supposed to get certificates or diplomas?
