stop buying omena haijakauka vizuri
I used to think that one can only cook those dried omena bought from sacks in markets or plastic paper bags in a supermarket.
There is this young lady in Kisumu who buys them fresh very early in morning in a bucket from wholesale fish vendors.

She dries them during the day in the very hot Kisumu sun and dry fries them in the evening. When I plan to pass through Kisumu I place my order the day before in bulk. I have my special recipe of spices she uses to prepare my order: green onions, garlic, coriander and a secret item for men only She chops them up really in fine pieces before cooking them in olive oil and soya source. You can keep them in a fridge and they still taste good after one month.

You should all try it !
