Fucking hell! The gymnastics done by Christian Apologists to explain things in the Bible that make no bloody sense.

The fact is that there is ZERO archeological evidence of Israelites ever being in Egypt. There are archeological records from the time before, during and after they were allegedly there and there is no mention of them or a people like them.

That there are mistranslations in the bible is one thing, but also one need s to be aware of the natural transitions between what is factual, to what passes in to history, and becomes legend...and later found out to be mythical. By the way; Hebrew does not emerge as a written language until 1000 BC, meaning the ten commandments would have to have been written in Egyptian (heiroglyphics?) and since there was no written Hebrew in the days of Moses...and there is no mention of the Hebrews in Egyptian historical records...what are the chances that you are dealing with legends?

They could have been there considering Egypt and Israel share a border. But walking around for forty years in that small territory, I find that hard to believe.

The state of Israel as it exists now may share a border. Back then, no such thing existed.
But even if it did, how is there no record of thousands of slaves of a particular nation/people being held captive in Egypt and then disappearing one day?

You forget the chroniclers of yore were King's commissions (there were very few independent scholars if any!) and they were very unlikely to document Pharaoh's loss and humiliation by slaves. (History is written by the victors, as the losers heal their wounds,)

That may be true. But there is no way A slave labour force numbering in the millions disappeared from your country without severe impact to the nation.
There would be some record of it, flattering or not.

I have always argued that the biblical Jews are modern Africans and the original names of different lands have changed since then
