I may not have a problem with anyone addressing any gathering. The only issue is that the man has a poor grasp of how these people work, is easily excitable, and will do anything that elevates his stature. Remember how he quickly okayed GMOs without even engaging in wider consultations? He did that to appease some American firm that has been sponsoring GMO field studies in the country.
