Haiti PM has just Resigned

As the US keeps on pressuring Kenya to send its forces to the troubled nation that is currently threatening to collapse, its PM who decently was in Kenya has ultimately resigned.

There are also murmurings that the deal to take our boys in blue to the country in the Carribean was pegged on some funds allocation but we might truly never know.

I wish we could just....not deploy anyone and watch these gangs collapse under their own weight for the rest of the year. Anarchy is unsustainable. Ports closed so no trade. Economy in the bin. No food no medicine no fuel no electricity. Nobody keeping the essential things running. They would have to humble themselves and start appealing for foreign (Western) aid/intervention like the Taliban did shortly after taking over Afghanistan.

Pray what happens to the most vulnerable in that society eg kids, women, elderly, sick ? When the gangs start ransacking every household looking for food and other supplies since the ports aren't functioning?

That's their problem. Si wamesema they don't want foreign interference? Wajipange with their laughable government and security forces. The gangs will eventually run out of supplies to loot anyway.

Someone has to deploy, history has shown that when a country sinks into anarchy the neighbours pay the price, but thats a problem for the neighbours not us.
If that guy BBQ has brains he should take control and restore order, he has the firepower and a semblance of public support. The neighbours should extend support

Dominican Republic wameweka soldiers along the border and said they won't establish even one refugee camp. The other neighbours are thus the fish of the Carribean Sea.
Whenever you see the contrast between Dominican Rep and Haiti, you can't help but be startled by the differences.
However, what isn't very common knowledge is the role of the white man especially the French in all of it. Such murky history. I feel for them but not that the citizens have no part to blame.

I'm eagerly awaiting Mr. BBQs next move. He got what he wanted. What now? I think like the Taliban he's about to learn that running a country is much harder than running a militia.

The Spaniards prepared the Dominicans to take over their country when they left. The French....did everything in their power to hamstring Haiti after independence. But aside from that, the U.S. has given Haiti $5.6 BILLION in aid since 2010. The Clinton foundation has raised over $2 BILLION for them since the early 2000s. Where the hell did all that money go? At a certain point people must be accountable for their own screwups.

Throwing money at every problem? Some problems require other fixes, especially if the problems are foundational.

I can't yet prove it, but I feel Mr. BBQ is a stooge of the West. Bankrolled to terrorize his people and oust the sitting government for an ulterior motive that is bigger than his street cred. Be wary when Washington starts making remarks akin to having a transitional government and other kosokoso.
Perhaps even a bigger problem is the fake news being peddled; from cannibalistic militias to iridium deposits in that country.

Its near impossible to police a boarder with a lawless country. Majamaa need to have a keen interest in restoring order in their neighbour

Ruto, a former ICC indictee. One would think he would be hard pressed to stay away from the internal political affairs of a country so far away.

Kenya has no horse in this race.
