that railway line will be a game changer, hata kama ni slow, it will ease the pressure on the highway by trucks and passengers.
if the prices will be reasonable, the famous wildebeest migration will be a thing of the past, fatalities on the roads will reduce.

Give me 7 trillion and I will also do the same.

Credit should go to Kibaki for achieving much with less borrowings.

Hii ingine ya kusema giving credit where it's due is like adoring someone who lives a flashy lifestyle yet it's all financed by loans

I think @Okiya the dynamics are quite different, uhuru era came with county governments, two house parliament, increased number of mps plus women reps on top, numerous independent offices. All these came with cost implications. We haven't refuted the fact that corruption was normalized during uhuru era but pia recurrent expenditure went over the roof.
Majority of Kenyans voted for the current constitution without thinking of the cost implications yet we forget we have a small tax payers base in relation to the general population.

@wrongturn , @Okiya na hata @Meria and @Mwalimu-G , mnielemishe, what will be the end game of all these loans?! How will we get out with the balloon wage bills/ recurring expenditure and now BBI will be overburdening the taxpayer. What do our leaders have in mind?!

Even loans taken for inflated infrastructural projects are as bad as those of Kimwarer and Arror. I don't know why you've put them apart. Zote ni wizi.

Alafu kuna hii tabia ya Kenyatta ya projects started out of the blue with poor clarity on outcomes and a delivery roadmap, think of Huduma number, the expressway, the metre-gauge revival, BRT, NMS, the medical equipment the government leased on behalf of counties, all projects that are nothing but a knee-jerk reaction, they make sense but do not fit into the overall vision or are poorly executed.

hiyo huduma number was totally unnecessary. They already have your id, pin, nhif, passport etc, they could have easily brought all that data under id number without registering again. I like the way kra is integrated, you input your id, it pulls your nams from iprs.
BRT Kwanza ile ya red paint was a waste of money, it was pointed out but with arrogancy macharia ensured it was painted red, then a few months later they recarpeted thika rd, total wastage .

BBI citizens should vote it down.
Recurrent expenditure is just greed. Mps are paid a salary yet they insist on sitting allowance. ,do the math , most hods even have huge airtime allowance yet they've a desk phone.
Bloated parastatals, are here to stay to satify our egos
This is more of a societal issue, we are all greedy, one famous saying" hii ni pesa ya wananchi".nobody cares. Juzi tu oimeke after embezzling eppra, he was voted as an mp, you don't expect such a person to cap his salary.

You got a very strong point than they will pretend not to have seen it.
