My dear am angry simply because We as the black people are getting poorer and poorer 60years after independence and the common denominator is Religion.
The failure of your example is that you could easily argue tbe remaining 90% of that population giving 500/- monthly would still generate vastly more and get more done.My dear am angry simply because We as the black people are getting poorer and poorer 60years after independence and the common denominator is Religion.
With a population of 50 million and assume 10% of xtians give a minimum of 1000/= monthly...do the math and see how many Thika roads/ schools/Hospitals we can do in 5 years.
I am assuming 45 million are children and the remaining 5 million are adults. The failure of your example is that you could easily argue tbe remaining 90% of that population giving 500/- monthly would still generate vastly more and get more done.
Edit: take the percentage down to 50% to remove kids and unemplyed
It is the responsibility of the government to provide the above. Not the churches. My dear am angry simply because We as the black people are getting poorer and poorer 60years after independence and the common denominator is Religion.

The Government is a reflection of the population it governs. Responsibility begins with you as an individual but if your thinking is curtailed by a certain dogma propagated by a person or group of persons whose aim is exploiting the misery of the masses, then it gives me the right to be angry. Otherwise to whom should I direct my anger to if not the exploiter? It is the responsibility of the government to provide the above. Not the churches.
The fact that the church has to step in is a failure of government. So you directing your anger to an individual just on the basis of his beliefs is unfair.
I'd argue that sometimes religion actually gives hope to a people who would otherwise give up given the challenges they face.
In this case then the individual that allows their thinking to be curtailed is to blame. Nobody is forced to do anything. In fact it is enshrined in the constitution. Freedom of worship. The Government is a reflection of the population it governs. I am attacking the culprit and you are castigating me for it?In this case then the individual that allows their thinking to be curtailed is to blame. Nobody is forced to do anything. In fact it is enshrined in the constitution. Freedom of worship.
I think you hate religion for some reason. That's your choice and it's fine and I wouldn't attack you for it.I am attacking the culprit and you are castigating me for it?
My point was, as long as the percentage of people who are non-Christian in your scenario is larger, if they donate, they should be able to provide a lot more.I am assuming 45 million are children and the remaining 5 million are adults.

I was just objecting to a personal attack on an individual based on their beliefs.

In that scenario, the issue isnt that christians arent doing their part, its a failure of the bigger percentage.
