Graham Bell bribed clerks at the patent office to not give the patent for the telephone to his rival. He then got his patent approved first.

Newton did not invent calculus. It is almost a certainty that Leibniz invented it independently before Newton. However Newton was given credit for it until recently when it has been agreed that they should share credit for inventing it at "the same time but independently."

hapa kwa calculus I disagree. They both invented it independent of each other and each had their own way of describing it. Same would apply for Penicilin

Back then information did not spread quick so an invention in Britain could be popular there not knowing someone in china had invented the same thing

Actually, the two worked independently and discovered the same thing.
