express way drainage

Have seen several pipes from the express way draining directly to the road beneath, isn't that a disaster in waiting.
Why not direct the drainage to the pillars or it's a strategy to create mayhem and force guys to climb up?

Assuming the govt will implement BRT from Kangemi to Imara as planned.The road will be reduced to 2 lanes . And in some areas even squeezing 3 three lanes will be a big task. Pedestrians will also have a hard time . This sidewalk is what all the pedestrians heading to the Green Park Bus terminus will use . Considering the number of pedestrians it would have been better to have a foot bridge but instead we have a zebra crossing .This is near Continental Towers along Uhuru Highway .
Anyway lets give the KeNHA team benefit of doubt

What I have noted is around town the contractor has as much as possible not encroached on the old road Lakini ukipita capital Centre kwendelea hapo ndio impunity inaanza kuonekana live live!
Kama hapo past airport opposite Hilton Garden Hotel wameweka transformer yao on one lane and reduced that place to 2 lanes.
Further down zile service lanes we had some have been gone and don’t forget the footbridge that only crosses the expressway and “drains” people directly onto the old highway!!
If this project didn’t have vested interest am sure the contractor would have done a better job lakini juu kickback ishakulwa contract was given free will to do as they please!!!
