Graduate Engineering (except for those in computing) students hata Bidentsan find it hard to hack meaningful employment immediately after graduation.
They do not get paid as much. Most opt for post-grad studies, normally MBA's. Normally for engineering students kama Bidenstan it is highly recommended to enroll in universities with a co-op program. If one excels and networks during the co-op increases one's chances of getting hired directly after graduation.

Hawa watoto wawache upuzi. The idea of an air-conditioned office with a plumb salary and obscene benefits in a government job went obsolete before they were born. They should be open to other possibilities, including migrating to other African countries with opportunities but modest pay.
Isn't the whole point of being an engineer to go out there and invent new shit? It should be about passion first and then money later, that is why you are encouraged to come up with an innovative engineering idea and implement it before you are awarded your engineering degree...

As put by the guys up in the comments assumption for an office job or employment should be part of the plan but not the main plan.
In my observation over the years , there are so many opportunities for innovation but only the hard working ones are willing to do the dirty job.
I can’t bad mouth any engineering guys coz our system is really messed , the govt has not embraced these kinds as much as they should .

Shida ni kungoja employment instead of using those skills learnt at school.. if the think outside the box i am a good engineer wouldn't need that government job

Masomo sometime ni upuzi! An opharned cousin of mine was staying with us, was left when he was only 3 months, We took him in. Kijana primary was a block head ajabu! Scored 106 marks out of 500 in 2014. Was no need wasting money aende sec. Kijana akatumwa pale Wambari polytechnic Naivasha akafanya Plumbing, As at now he is the chief plumber pale Rain forest farm,Naivasha. Ma contracts za plumbing hapa na pale. Sad part now, kijana ako into drinking 'masmart' na fangi ile mbaya juu ya pesa.
