- Trouble started when the Uasin Gishu county askaris allegedly confiscated trolleys and carts famously referred as ‘pangpang’ on Wednesday night
- It degenerated into a fracas when the owners discovered their tools of trade had been seized
- Several protesters(An angry mob of rioters) armed with stones and batons (armed with crude weapons) were seen smashing car windows before taking some items(destroying cars and looting)
Running battles between cart pushers and county askaris paralyse business in Eldoret town
An irate mob who were pelting stones in all directions were seen looting Eldomatt Supermarket

What did Kenyans realistically expect after electing KK?
A Government that ordered Police not to be proactive in combating crime and maintaining law and order but “to wait at the Stations for crimes to be reported” can’t be it.
People are feigning surprise at this turn of events but we already made our bed so let’s quit complaining and dutifully lie on it.
In many countries Political Parties that win elections campaign on the platform of being “tough on crime and causes of crimes” as their flagship pledge.
But what do we know?
How is it that Security and Safety of Individuals and their properties is not a priority?
Criminals are being given a breather and cushioned against Police’s involvement and disturbance?
