A popular Kenyan DJ has been arrested in connection with the fatal assault of a senior police officer.
The top DJ, who is presently detained at the Kabete Police Station alongside his bouncer, driver and photographer, allegedly attacked Kabete Police Station Deputy DCIO Felix Kelian on March 16, 2024.
The assault, according to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, happened after the officer was involved in a “non-injury traffic accident” on the said date at around 4am within Kikuyu market.

Inspector Kelian died on Friday while receiving treatment at the Nairobi West Hospital where he was undergoing treatment for abdominal pains and other injuries sustained after the alleged beating.
The body of the Deputy DCIO has since been moved to the Umash Funeral Home as investigations on the matter continue.

The key words - “non-injury traffic accident”. If there were minor or even major damages, this could easily have been sorted out.

This will now cost him more than he could ever have imagined.

With money, a good lawyer will argue the case for many years and eventually win. This is easy when the facts surrounding a case are fuzzy; it happened at night, who attacked who? Who was responsible for the accident? How was it handled? How credible are the witnesses? Who delivered the death blow among the accused? Why did it take so long for them to be arrested? How certain can we be that the death was caused by the attack and not the accident? These and many other questions will keep the prosecution sweating for years.
