In the Rift valley some of the mature women go for the practice a year before their first son traditional initiation ceremony, so that they can receive him after his seclusion period is over, in central Kenya mungiki brides and nowadays nguata ndai adherents are practicing it.
My opinion is that we phase off fgm, just like as from our parents generation refused to have their ears mutilated as a cultural practice.
