President William Ruto has said the largest dumpsite in Dandora will soon be converted to an energy city.
The President said that the country will now generate more electrify ones the dumpsite is done away with.
"Dandora haitakua mahali ya takataka tena, tutaifanya iwe city mahali ambapo tutazalisha umeme." the president said.
He also said that government in conjunction with the county government will work together to ensure Nairobi is green and clean, by employing more youths to plant trees and clean the CBD and all areas around it.
"Lazima turudishe Nairobi kwa heshima ambayo ilikua nayo, lazima tusafishe Nairobi, iwe mji safi na iwe green, tumekubaliana ya na yeye (Sakaja) ataajiri vijana 3,000 amabo watasaidia kusafisha mji wetu."
On unga prices, the president said the country will see lower prices of upto Sh150, and below.
"Bei ya unga itaanza kushuka tena wiki ujao, nikichukua serekali, unga ilikua Sh230, sai ni Sh160, mtaona ikishuka."
