Correction, cameras ndio zomekuwa focused vizuri sasa India. They've been having mass deaths, 3k daily.
To be fair India has a billion people 3k daily is a small % but all lives are valuable.
Swallow those words chief!

Have you checked the daily mortality across India? Why do you think that 3,000 people dead per day is insignificant? How can you even say that 3,000 out of a billion is insignificant?

I bet covid-19 deaths cease to be statistics once you burry a victim.

As I never tire to remind those so inclined, statistics have a way of lulling us to a false sense of security.

We forget that even if the fatality was 0.01%, those still are people. Loved ones. Breadwinners. Relatives. Human beings!!

It was bound to happen. Their health care looks fine on the surface but is highly dysfunctional on the ground. Unfortunately, we have also adopted a similar model. When you allow the private sector to hold too much stake in healthcare, responding to crisis becomes a challenge because all decisions have to be in sync with the profit rationale.
Can you please explain your point on the private sector more clearly? Haven't people here been complaining about kemsa and money disbursed to county govts for bed capacity. How does the private sector relate to this?

Can we compare death rates of the past few years until now. If we leave out the covid equation, how does it look? Can shed more light into the situation
