Contents of suicide note left behind by police officer attached to DP Ruto’s office revealed

Police officer Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei, who was attached to DP Ruto’s office, was found dead on Thursday night at his house in Imara Daima’s Franca Villa estate. A suicide note was left behind. The impersonal note read, "Call my cousin ben 0703****16 brother-0720****33."

Kenei who was aged 33-years-old was living in the said house and was lying dead on the floor with bullet wounds through his chin head. The bullet also ended up hitting the ceiling of the said house. A Jericho pistol was recovered from the scene in along with 11 rounds of ammunition.

William Ruto has eulogized Kenei as a disciplined man, "Deeply saddened by the death of police Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei who worked in my Harambee house annex office. Kenei was a disciplined young police officer. I urge the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death," the Deputy President said.
