Can this be done in Kenya?

Countries in Europe have come up with a very clever and ingenious way of tracking and tracing the presence and spread of Covid 19.
They are now testing waste water in sewages to find out the spread of the virus as well as finding out which varieties are prevalent in different towns and cities.

Shouldn’t Kenya be doing the same to stay well ahead of the game? I think this is another useful weapon in the arsenal against Covid 19 and Kenya should employ it to the full:

Úregaga gúthama Utopia níkí ríría úrandíka maundú mangi?
Homeboy,
Utopia iko wapi hapa? I just stated facts.
There are sewage treatment works in most towns and cities in Kenya.

I am cognisant of the fact that not every home is connected but this kind of tracking and tracing can be done on the FEW that are.
Even our very own Karatina has one at Tegu, Mathaithi. True or not?

Something is better than nothing Mister!

Tegu gutiri sewage. Ile iko ni Kirigu (the one you are referring to as Mathaithi) for Karatina town.
My beef is the fact nigas here would not bother with such unless of course they get sponsored in which case you find the sponsors doing it themselves. Then we come in and dispute the facts!

See? So you agree there are sewerage works all over?
Do you remember even your Hustler thief had grabbed one in Njiru, Nairobi?

The fact is that such a project can be done on the existing ones. That way, Kenya would be in a position to know how Covid 19 is distributed and the occurent tendencies.

The good thing with such a project is that it is not intrusive or personal at all.

We aren't cut from that cloth. Maybe Rwanda but not on this matter sewer tests.
Getting the vaccine enyewe tatizo, Europe and the west are almost done vaccinating their population, they're now going to kids.
On the other hand we are still wondering where to get the second dose for our 1million first dose.
We have capacity to do anything but we don't like good things.

We aren’t even testing enough of those who are exposed, hii ya sewage itafanywa na nani?

At the beginning of the pandemic last year there’s a city in the US that discovered their exposure by testing their sewage.

Pia, back in the days of SARS there was an infection in an office block in Hong Kong that was traced back to a shared toilet (the droplets that form when a toilet is flushed).

I remember a time when GOK announced they had identified the presence of polio in Kenya after testing sewage samples from Eastleigh and some other zones in Nairobi, must have been 2018 or 2019.

The problem isn't lack of capacity, the big guys in government arent interested in solving Kenyans problems.
