Beware of this possibly fake DCI number 0768-098-745

So I got a call from this jamaaz from number 0768-098-745 telling me he's from the DCI. He goes on to drop the name of a buda i had a prior issue with. Asks me to hurriedly kiss the buda's butt and apologize. Other wise I will go to jail for a year. The issue was rather mundane in my mind, and I smell a rat

I did a number check, but it is not definitive. My local OCS will not open a file on "hearsay" and encourages me to tape future calls Should I or should I not be worried? I know DCI has many lines, some of which are untraceable. I am posting this here just in case someone else has had a similar call. The guy sounded fake and could have used the number for shakedowns before

Truecaller says 'Ap senior'. Maybe the mzee asked a D- to threaten you. Collect evidence eg recording as advised and always have a witness.

That is odd. Ap Senior is not a regular name that gets registered. That sounds like a Cop making a threat. Ngai fafa!!! I will chill, sababu hi Kenya ina wenyewe. Lakini huyo mzae sasa ni kumhepa. ile styro ya paka na panya

What I don't understand is why jamaaz would risk his livelihood by using a traceable number to be a mtu wa mkono for a mdosi. Ama they don't care

True caller generates names according to how they are saved in other peoples phone books, so if many people have saved you as mkubwa nakuru ,trubcaller goes with that.
