In July last year, @shocks put up this thread of a dangerously expanding Lake Baringo.
In it, was this image that shows the waters of the lake threatening to spill over the B17 road on the section between Marigat - Loruk- Chemolingot.
Half a year later and this is the current situation;
Drive southwards and Lake Nakuru seems a gone case now..
And to startle you further, Lake Oloiden and Lake Naivasha have recently merged after breaching the mass of land that has always separated them.
In fact, a casual look at Google maps still shows the said division.
