I first saw this picture at a then famous Nairobi entertainment landmark hung as a huge framed poster on the wall, just above the staircase. The establishment was then the meeting place of the scions of Jomo's friends and associates.
I think of the afternoons I spent there swigging a lone Tusker Export, remembering those old friends now long gone and wonder, how truly fickle is life.
Oh, and the lady in the picture just died too. She is Raquel Welch. The picture was taken in 1966 when she was 25 years.
You can use the image to rub one out @mzeiya and join the greats...

To all residents of Kijiji Nursing Home,
It has come to our attention that some of you have been staying up past your bedtime, and waking up at ungodly hours in the morning. We regret to inform you that this is unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated any longer.
As a reminder, bedtime is at exactly 7 pm sharp. And we mean sharp. Not a minute past, not a minute early. And officially, the day starts at 8 am. Not 7:45, not 7:50, but 8 am. We understand that some of you may think that you can bend the rules a little, but we assure you, we have eyes everywhere.
For those of you who choose not to observe these directives, be warned that you will lose some of the privileges you enjoy, like watching Karma take a bath. We know how much you love watching her splash around, but if you can't respect the rules, then you can't enjoy the perks.
So, let's all be good boys and girls and get our much needed rest. We want you all to be fresh and alert in the morning so we can continue to enjoy your charming company. Thank you for your cooperation.

It is there that I first learnt to play pool and interacted with the likes of Kamau wa Muigai, Uhunye's cousin and his sista Wanjiru, as well as Ngethi's son who was later eaten alive by mongrels na kule kwa farm yao Zimmerman...half that crowd died in the 90s from mdudu. While Uhunye's cousins and a few like me were disciplined matters sex, the rest used to zunguka the resident 150 gals like a nonsense. Walianguka wote...sad!
