Kwanza asanteni sana for referring me to Airbnb. There are other service providers like booking.com which are similar.

Airbnb ni kama Uber ya malojo/manyumba za kulala.

So I booked a $12-room in a family house in Bamburi. I was attracted by the photos of the bedroom and of the host. I was only disappointed to find she was married and the ndume was around. Great guy, by the way.

The room was spacious, clean, big bed, a wardrobe, a mirror, silent neighborhood, and I was provided with breakfast. The toilet was shared but also spotless and comfortable. The shower stands alone, also shared. Big and very clean.

Her mboch washed my shoes, the towels, changed bedsheets everyday, and greeted me "shikamoo" every time we met in the morning and in the evening! :giggle::giggle:

Those 3,800 hotel rooms in Mtwapa can from now onwards go fuck themselves!

Here are the photos:

As if a dodgy hotel or lodging cannot do that?

2. How secure are they especially in countries other than Kenya say europe?

As secure as an Uber or Bolt. The owners are reviewed and ranked on tge booking site.

Traditional lodging in kenya are as naive as they get! Owned and operated by senior citizens whose priority is to mark flip flops and cut them!!!! They are concerned more on check out time rather than whatever business you are doing!!! But bnb is run by tech savvy people hence my concern

5 star hotels are also run by tech-savvy people.

I have enjoyed AirBnBs in Kenya, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal and Turkey. The owners are normally very cultured and discreet to a fault. Don't be paranoid.
