No contention on that, worse decision ever.Agriculture was devolved
True, health and agriculture needed timeframes in devolutionNo contention on that, worse decision ever.
From farm to table traceability? If we are going to export our farm produce, we have to ensure it meets international standards. One of those standards is traceability. A consumer should be able to trace the produce throughout the supply chain to the farmer. The system of laws and standards are being made to enable the country production system to meet international standards and make our produce competitive.
Those laws have the blessings of your Governor's, MPigs and Senators.
Thats all good. But they are pushing the cost of that traceability to the farmer with threats of financial and personal harm. And its them who should have ensured that the systems exist in the first place. If we are going to export our farm produce, we have to ensure it meets international standards. Something like that. From farm to table traceability?
I don't think there is a problem there. Think of it this way, you are absolutely free to slaughter and eat a goat with your household, no health inspector required. However, if you offer meat for commercial consumption, you must meet minimum health requirements (We are lacking here because @Mongrel is still in business ).Thats all good.
