Want to avoid food spoilage in your fridge during power outages, especially during this rainy season? Simple. Keep 2 or 3 litres of ice in the freezer section. When power disappears, transfer the ice in the cooler section. The ice will keep your food cool for up to 24 hrs, by which time power will have resumed. That way, you can enjoy fish heads more often.

Do you often work outside, where your clothes will collect bugs? You do not need a change of clothes every time a bug invades your clothing. You need to extend the use of one kitchen appliance; the microwave.
Wrap the infected item in a polythene bag, and microwave the package for about 30 seconds, or until it becomes hot to the touch. The bugs will disappear instantly, and you can don your favorite clothing item to continue dismembering motorcycles.

You can disinfect clothing items by wrapping them in a plastic bag and microwaving for a few seconds or minutes. Just make sure the items contain a little moisture, either from being worn or by light misting. However, this technique should not substitute normal laundry.
NB: You need to be on standby with your eyes wide open when microwaving clothing items. Some can catch fire if heated for too long.
