23 years ago *Bob Geldof* (Pop singer) was interviewed by BBC Newsnight in 1999. At that time it was assumed he was high while giving this interview, but listen to the predictions he made at that time.

A spoof video has been shared by several social media users as English singer-songwriter David Bowie predicting the future of the internet, social media, emoticons, targetted advertisements and the rise of misinformation from far-right groups during an interview on BBC Newsnight.

We found that the spoof video was created by British comedy writer Michael Spicer who also tweeted the video out himself.

Spoof videos are a pop culture phenomenon. They are a simple remake of an actual video with known or unknown actors and/or actresses reenacting a serious situation in a more hilarious demeanor. These tummy-rumbling videos cover all bases from ridiculous rap music videos to political debates.

When I see people propagating these videos as fact, I can't help but visualize them staring down at their phone with 100px text, brightness set to max, and a whole load of notifications on their status bar from Tuko, Opera mini and their numerous WhatsApp groups. They also love typing with one finger. You know yourselves.
