Cabinet Secretaries Mutahi Kagwe (Health) and Amina Mohamed (Sports) are among five Kenyans listed as the "most reputable Africans" according to a leading reputation management consultancy firm.

The Reputation Poll International released its 2020 list of 100 most reputable Africans who have performed outstandingly in different sectors.
The list featured 47 women and 53 men from diverse areas, including leadership, entertainment, advocacy, education and business.

Integrity, visibility and impact was used as the main criteria in the selection which saw five Kenyans appearing in the list.

Kagwe has been identified as a prominent figure in updating the nation on the situation of coronavirus as well as cautioning Kenyans from behaviours that may lead to surge of infection.
The Kenyan Health CS was also featured in an American-based business daily, The Wall Street Journal in April for his leadership role during the Covid-19 crisis.

Sports CS Amina is one of the candidates for the post of Director General of the World Trade Organisation.
Amina will be the first woman ever to lead WTO if she succeeds in the battle that has attracted eight aspirants.
She also vied for the African Union Commission chair seat in 2017 but loss to the current chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat.
The third Kenyan in the list is the world renowned teacher Peter Tabichi.

Tabichi was the 2019 Global Teacher Prize winner who was hailed for his role in helping children from the poor background to access education by giving away 80 per cent of his salary.

Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya was also featured in the list.

Oparanya is the current Council of Governors chairperson and has been leading in developing healthcare facilities in his count.

Kakamega is among the counties that have put in place isolation beds, ICU beds and other facilities to receive Covid-19 patients who need urgent treatment.

PLO Lumumba is another Kenyan in the list. The current director of the Kenya School of Laws and an eloquent lawyer is passionate about promoting equal rights, good governance and African unity.

Let me let you into a secret.

One of the most effective ways to control a people is to abrogate their right to choose their own heroes and villains (also gods, values, etc). The West has used this trick since time immemorial.

Thus, all who have received the Nobel Prize are African icons, and those like Gaddafi, Sankara, Machel, Lumumba, Kimathi who they have assassinated are villains.

Always be very afraid when they praise some of your leaders as icons.......................................or give them Nobel Prizes. Just look at Mandela's South Africa and wonder.................or further afield, what they did to Obama..............
