Argentina land colonisation was a plan by European settlers to acquire land from indigenous people to use the land for agricultural purposes using modern ways.
This lead to a war between Argentine forces with modern weapons against indigenous people with crude weapons which eventually lead to mass killing of the indigenous people.
The Agenda of the war by European settlers is controversial with Apologists saying it was a Civilizing mission where military intervention was the only option available to facilitate colonization of land and Westernization of indigenous peoples while revisionists label it a genocide to eliminate the indigenous people race
The land Colonisation happened in 2 wars.
1) The Conquest of the Desert of 1872 where Argentine military campaign occurred to take over the Patagonian Desert, inhabited by indigenous peoples
Settlers of European descent moved in and developed the lands through irrigation and agriculture, turning Argentina into a food basket superpower
2) The Napalpí massacre of 1924 started when Argentine forces wanted to gain lands for European settlers to grow cotton from indigenous people
The indigenous people resisted the campaigns and started killing animals and damaging the crops of the European settlers
Argentine police, ranchers and white citizens armed with rifles attacked the indigenous people who had only spears to defend themselves
