We shall all see heaven,, as long as you are slightly righteous.
 
I'm agnostic. I don't have a proof that some god(s) exists. The most difficult part is providing evidence of non existence of god(s). How can you prove a negative? How many assertions in arguments do you have to prove/disapprove?

Just asking questions of the 'believers'...They can be asked of any believer of any religion.
Problem is with the so called Christians: they fail to explain their beliefs when 'challenged'

For info,I have read several of the books I have mentioned.
And if I was trolling...it would be like this

I started as a theist and couldn't find a stable ground to stand on. I turned to an atheist and couldn't also prove non-existence of a god(s). I'm ambivalent now, I dont know whether He/She/They exist. If god(s) exist, there is a lot of mess that needs to be taken care of. Kwanza hiyo nyangau ilienda na pesa yangu hapo Githurai 45.

I understand and respect where you are coming from and believe it or not, I've had those long discourses with so many non Christians without much fruit.

I believe in God fully and this is not blind faith but by personal conviction and close examining of all that Christianity pertains including its quite ugly past eg crusades.

Also, I know that as a Christian, I'm set up to be bashed constantly and that's fine. That's why I prefer to respond via scripture for I believe 100% that it's God's word and I'm just a follower of Christ.

Am I perfect? No. We are not sinners because we sin but because we are born sinners and as humans, we are not earthy beings having a spiritual experience but rather the vise versa.

The misunderstanding comes in when believers believe that theirs is the only true belief and try to convert others to their belief system. They judge and claim others are not true beliefs.
And I am not just talking about Christians.

As pertains your own beliefs,it is only because you were socialized in that belief system,so it is only natural that you 'know' its the only one. Had you been socialized otherwise, you would be behaving and claiming differently.

Exactly.... perhaps he's lucky not to have been socialized into seeing holiness instead of beef....
 
Having crossed the religious debate floor several times, I understand the difficulty of being on either side. Many people take religion very personally especially when you attack their religious sect. Ironically, they are perfectly happy to attack other religious sects. Evangelicals disbelieve Catholics, Christians disbelieve muslims while both disbelieve buddhism. I disbelieve all of them!
