You see the difference between the bonobo country electorate and electorates from developed nations? When in Africa a leader fails, the opposition laughs at that party's supporters which makes one wonder whether the ill conceived policies affected only the supporters of the party in government or everyone....a poor jaruo faces the same challenges a poor shiny eye faces and so on and so forth...instead of the so called educated people asking themselves what they can do to get out of a quagmire they wait for election day to compete on electing a new brand of their tribal thieving leaders....
Here is the sad truth...none of the offsprings of the Jommo cabinet ministers will ever help Kenya...None! None of the by-products of the Moi regime will ever help Kenya... None!
A rich jaruo will continue to dine with a rich shiny eye for they speak the same language....

My point in these throwbacks is to educate them so that come 2022 the reasons for voting someone will be based on his/her policies and performance and not to punish someone.
I fully agree and it is good but remember they say it is only a fool who doesn't change his mind and just because the outcome of a decision is bad it doesn't essentially mean the decision was bad or the thought process was faulty for in reality very little is within your circle of influence.....externalities that we can't see or know play a major role in the outcome of a decision made even in good faith.

As much as this is true, do you know there are people who do not know this? Even if they did, they would force their heads into sand and vote for their tribe's chosen kingpin? This is a very unpopular opinion that will be countered by all manner of arguments.

Even the most learned amongst us simply retreated back into tribal cocoons come election day and at that point, Raila was the devil incarnate while running against Kamurwatina but he was njamba when supporting Kibaki.

So, yes. The folly of retreating into tribal cocoons is what some of us are laughing at.

That the sad truth that is our Kenya today.
