This is the problem of trying to create a welfare state when 80% of the population is not productive. As somebody said in another forum I am a member of, "you just end up distributing poverty'.

You heavily tax the tiny proportion of productive members of the society - workers, small and big businesses, etc - to finance bullshit programmes like free sanitary towels, free education, free food, free maternity care, free health care, free whatever.

Taxes should be used to support production through infrastructure, security and affordable capital, not buy sanitary towels for children of idiots who have 12 brats each..................

That is one way of looking at it. However, shouldn't there be incentives to support high employment industries rather than kill them in favour of well connected individuals? Isn't the government failing big time here?

:D I like your consistency on matters personal responsibility, I would agree with all the others apart from education, wacha government ipatiane quality education to all, let all kids a have a chance at bettering themselves irrespective of how idiotic their parents might have been.

Bonobo thinking. Increase rent and gas prices but income Ni Ile Ile. This gava makes me more and more against voting again

We are in a very deep hole, we really have to support our local industries and at least support agriculture so as to be at least have sufficient food now that we have sufficient rains. Remember we still have loans to pay

Three basic things a government should provide for the good of a civilized society in my opinion: Education, Health and Security. Everything else will take care of itself.

What good will that do when there's no electricity, no roads, no ports, no railways? Kijana, you have to think harder...
