A middle-aged man died after jumping from Gitaru bridge while running away from cops who were chasing him for not wearing a mask.

A middle age man dies after a police ran after him for not wearing a mask. The man jumped from the Gitaru bridge and died on the spot, seems like we will bury more people coz of police harassment than Coronavirus . If this is true it is so wrong. Vimenyi leteni the real truth

I do not condone excessive use and other retrogessive practices by the police. People should not be arrested or victimised simply because they are not wearing masks. The government should be making them as widely and freely available as it did with condoms during the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Then, and only then can it enforce the law against failing to wear a mask.

Its regretful that the young man jumped off a bridge. Most people would not do that unless there is mortal danger such as a situation of an active shooter. He probably had a very traumatizing experience with the police in the past or had unreasonable fear for them.

I totally disagree. Hii mambo ya kuwekelea serikali majukumu siyo yake should end. Gavament uses taxes to do stuff. Buying masks and sanitary towels for deadbeats should not be part of that...
