Firstly WHO never responded to Taiwan's email. They even said hawakupata the email but that's not the issue now.

What you didnt see in that email is the word atypical pneumonia cases. Atypical pneumonia is transmitted from human to human. And Taiwan is saying according to their resources the virus is transmitted from human to human.

So in short Taiwan is telling WHO what they have seen. WHO ignores. Taiwan nao wakajipanga. Right now everyone is saying how Taiwan is the one that managed this CCP virus the best.

WHO came back with this response.

WHO have no way of compelling you to give true figures of a health situation in any country. They weren't the ones on the ground dealing with the infection when it was ravaging in Wuhan and even if they had people there, we all know how the chinese will do their best to limit what you see or hear and censor what information you will relay.

So you have an agency that has no means of forcing you to give accurate data, they are hampered when trying to get accurate data and has to rely on sanitized information that is relayed to them about a particular situation. And they have to give recommendations based on this information? Are they still to blame?

It's not about whether they are to blame or not. It's about whether they can give reliable information. If they cannot, and I was funding them, I'd redirect my funding to more reliable sources.

Its not fake info if its what you get. This isnt an agency with an intelligence arm. If they want to find out how many polio vaccinations kenya administered last year where would they start? Our govt should have the best stats right? If the govt says 5mil, how is WHO supposed to determine if its true or not? Thats not their work. They will take that info and use it to inform you if that is not enough based on birth rate, polio cases etc.

Basi kuna shida kubwa sana in their operations, those billions they have should be used to conduct research and evaluations, not just asking for information like cowards. They shouldnt just be asking for information, they should conduct research and studies, go out to the field and do proper ground work!, are you familier with how research works or to you it just means asking for information and when you get it you [pressume you have done research?

You have to remember you are dealing with a government. They will let limit access to what information you want, what areas you you go to do your research, what patients or doctors you talk to etc. You are at the mercy of these people.
Also note, the doctors from WHO are of all manner of nationalities. As a government you cannot discount spies. Especially a paranoid gava like china.
You can only ask for the information. You can ask for permission to perform research and you will have to state what areas you want to go, what exactly you want to do etc.

As far as research goes, you have to base your information on information that can be cited or evidenced credibly. How does WHO give recommendations to nations of the world based on some information that shows up twitter or a chinese citizen claiming X and the govt says something else? You can have your suspicions but if you do not have concrete evidence then it cant be in any reports made in an official capacity.

The UN in its wisdom decided that WHO should not be a research body or a spying body. Why do you want to assign it those duties without explicitly having it inked in their mandate? Supposing they say you uncle Orange Hair Trump messed up Covid-19 response just like Kabila did with Ebola(WHO never blamed Kabila) .
