Short translation....hunger is worse than corona...we would rather die of corona than hunger. So the government and thereoff the billionaires that own this country like mama ngina, wanjigi, munga, chandaria etc have to come together and cater for their people if they want the lockdown and spread of corona to stop.

Believe me this corona will be a game changer.
I believe that by mid April they will have gotten a medical solution for this plandemic. But going forward citizens will be economically woke. There will be so much pressure on GOK to get things back to normal and deliver such that they will fear getting involved in scandals. The biggest stumbling block in Kenya being woke has been the middle class but they will perhaps be the ones most affected by Covid 19. Things like BBI you wont hear them again. Covid 19 unintentionally has already build bridges in Kenyans. When was the last time you saw a political post here? The talk between now and 2022 will be economy, jobs, sustainability, local manufacturing.

This thing is that big red reset button. In regards to pressure on govt, these people are stone cold thugs, I believe even the Corona fund is being embezzled as we speak, otherwise people would not be cramped at kmtc.
That is why nomatter how loud anybody shouts...the rich will never contribute their money because they know very well how they got it in the first place

Meria what he has said is in the public knowledge only that our leaders and policy makers are burying their heads.
I will keep saying the only sober leader who has and will handle this Corona pandemic soberly is maguli.
Don't close anything except borders,hiyo ingine let nature take it's course,if you are to die, then that's your fate if you survive then so be it there will be a world post this and magufuli knows this too well.
But you see Kenyans are ,suffering, and to add salt to the injury ,punished for the mistakes of the top honchos of the govt for allowing planes to land in Kenya even though there was a high risk of bringing the virus here and the gok will not accept responsibility so that is why they have panicked and imposing these rules.
Can someone bring the updates of our tz brothers and how they are fairing on?
My take is that rather than closing businesses,public places,etc. Let nature take it's course.after all our races and struggles ends in death,which we so much try to run from but eventually catches up with us.

Am tempted to believe and also very much optimistic of what you have written and what deep down is in the minds and hearts of so many Kenyans right now. The problem is , the current crop of politicians is very selfish, they revert to reminding Kenyans about their ethnicity. Our middle class has never been in touch with reality.
This pandemic has just brought individual lesson to work hard for unknown tomorrow
Time will tell. But if you were an adult around 2000 you would remember the pressure Mzee Moi had to deliver on economy with very few resources. Covid 19 will take us back there but even worse. You will embezzle your own tax resources, but pesa ya mzungu ikikuja there will be conditions to it. In fact, I expect things like ghost workers to start being weeded out.

Previously it was divide and rule and that's what made them succeed. We had nothing in common. Weka watu wa ODM kando, weka wa Jubilee kando and pita katikati yao because you know after all, there will be people to come out and defend you as mtu wetu. Right now hakuna mtu wa Jubilee or ODM. We in this shit storm together. A majority of the citizens have one thing in common. The last time we had one big thing in common was in 1963 when we wanted independence. So it will be a delicate and intricate balance to navigate out.
