Exactly my sentiments, lakini Leo nimepitisha dose ya negative remarks so nikakimya. You reduce tax to unemployed person who has been told to stay indoors
Percentage ya unemployed people in Kenya hikam....
what people need now is three things food, shelter, running service at homes.
Hizo tax rate reduce na mimi ni mtu wa boda ama mjengo how do I benefit? Yet mimi ndio naambiwa social distancing?
which is?I think as a country we still haven't accepted the inevitable.
After 27th just find yourself outside during curfew times to see how it works.
@Mwalimu-G give us some insight if you recall curfews back in the day? When was the last curfew in Kenya?
Nope, akizidi naenda home nimwache kwa io nyumba.![]()

No way. Station is a crowded place. Lazima uchukue uber.Ni kama haukuelewa vile niliuliza.
Vile SGR hufika past curfew times on both ends, does it mean services will be suspended/modified? If not, saa moja ikikupata kwa train itabidi ulale kwa hio station?
He he he he he, don't you just love some of the solutions being pro-offered here?
Food banks/soup kitchens, 80% per cent salaries for laid-off/kwarantined workers, cash-through-Mpesa for all..................................
NEGROES, first you breed like rats and then only about 3.5 million of you pay taxes. TELL ME WHICH GAVAMENT IN THE WORLD CAN FEED 80 PER CENT OF ITS PEOPLE ON THE TAXES OF JUST 8 PER CENT OF THE POPULATION?
And don't tell me that EVERYBODY pays taxes through VAT. Virtually everything that peasants consume (milk, unga, salt etc etc) is tax-free, and most of what the gavament collects is used to give the children of the same peasants free education and university loans (DOES THIS HAPPEN IN THE US, THE RICHEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD?) and health care.
The fact is, Uhuru's interventions are just about what the gavament can do at the moment. I have seen Ndii's letter to Uhuru in his online magazine, and the guy is talking of giving Kenyan workers a monthly stipend of Sh30,000 pm for 4 months to survive the crisis nikacheka sana. Do those waitresses/barbers/barmen/manambas/drivers/ etc etc even earn that much in normal times?
I know I have been sounding condescending of late but I just have to tell jamaaz here the truth; to survive a pandemic like corona, people have to be sensible and play their part. You as an individual MUST use all the resources at YOUR disposal to keep your family safe. Wash your hands. Avoid unnecessary movements. Isolate and kwarantaine when necessary. Stock up on dry foods to avoid daily trips to the supermarket, etc etc.
On the alternative, you can keep up this wankfest of blaming everybody but yourself and we see where it'll get you. I have seen it all happen before, for example people engaging in careless sex and then complaining in the media how MoH is inefficient in distributing free ARVs. I have also seeen people frothing at the mouth when Uhuru told them that 'security starts with you' because it has become cool to think 'gavament' somehow owes them everything.
Look, JUST DO THE FERKING RIGHT THING on a personal level. If countries like Italy, Spain and the US are getting overwhelmed, who is Kenya?
YOU'LL SURVIVE TO COMPLAIN ANOTHER DAY.
Nimekosea mrembo?Naona mambo yakibadilika
