Ever seen those scams were people make ridiculous claims, like winning millions in a lottery you never participated in, and you wondered why they would waste their energy peddling something that everyone can see is a con? That is exactly the point. They do not want to waste energy on crowds who are unlikely to yield business. So, they make claims so ridiculous that anyone with some modest knowledge will dismiss them out-rightly and ignore the whole thing. And for anyone who responds, that is certainly a potential customer they can invest all their energies in to ensure they capture him.

Remember Kilimo, agricultural greenhouse investment
They run ads on mainstream radios especially Classic FM in the morning. A friend got interested in the idea, you were to buy land 50 x 50/100 for 500k then 240K for the greenhouse and water tank, total 740K. The first year the investment earned you 500K then the following year some would receive 300-250 giving excuses about bad market or weather. So the friend decided to sell his nissan wing road which he had on Uber because he had complaints with his driver.
He got his first annual dividend 500k and decided not add 240k and get another plot, greed. The following year hell broke loose, clients were taken in circles and that's how he lost 980K.
