In Kenyan politics one needs serious money or serious influence.

If the two of you were wise enough then you'd have known that Gachagua laying tough conditions on Matiang'i means that he has either of the two.

Why would he need to go to Gatundu yet the man in Gatundu is already fronting him?

Gachagua is creating his own party and he will want to front his own candidates in Mt Kenya. Why would Uhuru want parliamentarians elected on a Rigathi party when he has his own party?

If you listened to Gachagua's interview yesterday by Kisii journalists, you will here him lamenting that Simba Arati is driving Matiangi towards Raila.

So clearly the idea is to pry Raila from Ruto. A Raila + Matiangi ticket would be something Uhuru would want very badly.

Uhuru has his Jubilee party which Matiang'i is not interested in vying with.

Pale Mt Kenya the party of choice will be Rigathi's. The ones who fall off the way will go to Jubilee.

Has Matiangi explicitly said that he won't vie under Jubilee?
Rigathi also said he will negotiate if Matiangi can bring 2.5 million Kisii votes. Can Rigathi bring the entirety of Mt Kenya to match ama he is asking others to walk on water while he is sailing on a boat. A punctured boat at that.
 
Tho Gachagua led rank and file Kikuyus out of UDA but his influence in 2027 will be curtailed due to him not having legs to run. Ruto will ensure Wamunyoro won't get those legs back, but that won't get him any votes. Meaning Wamunyoro is over estimating his influence in Central matters 2027

If Rigathi was calling a bluff the likes of Matiang'i, Wamalwa, Kalonzo and Karua would be going direct to Uhuru. So there is a reason why they are including him in the table and like I said before, it's either he because has serious money or serious influence

Actually, allowing Gachagua to run would be the best gift for Ruto. Preferably, central should sit this one out and let other regions produce candidates. Otherwise, Ruto will unleash the Mlima entitlement card as a last resort and it will work. And considering that we have well known candidates who can fill these positions, it should be possible to remove Ruto while at the same time installing normal bad politicians.

The dropping of the cases against Rigathi was a bait from Ruto that will likely result in 41 against 1 during campaigns. If Rigathi wants Ruto to be one term he should ensure that Mt. Kenya doesn't produce a serious president or DP candidate in 2027. He can negotiate his shareholding stuff based on the votes he brings.

What constituency do Wamalwa and Karua have so they can have leverage on the negotiating table?

It seems also everyone but you and Gachagua recognizes that he is all bark and no bite. I will tell you this for free. One thing Kikuyus despise is a tactless individual. Mtu hana mpango. He confirms that every day with his thoughtless utterances.

Furthermore, who is Matiangi even in his own backyard? He is junior to Raila there.

Kalonzo is the only one with actual numbers to show and he is not even secondary in that arrangement, which is why he is very likely to bolt as we approach 2027.

Remember Kiambaas by elections where jubilee lost the mbeere by election will be a litmus test for gachagua in the Greater meru region
