Trump's New Global Tariffs - Including Kenya

Must there be wars? Why are wars?
Unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats weaponized the United States' global power to create unnecessary military conflicts after world war 2 (it made good money for them).
Trump comes along. He doesn't like war. A conflict like the avoidable Ukraine-Russia one costs millions of unreplaceable lives. And all these wars only contribute to unsustainable debt.

The establishment doesn't care about any of these. Their goal is to fuliza the US govt for all its worth so that they can capture the gains and suckers will be left paying off the debt. For a long time they owned all the presidents, especially Obama. Trump is the first president in a century to care about making the US economy sustainable again, reducing debt while adding assets.

It's gonna be very interesting times ahead.
I'm watching this and it's intriguing that China now produces more than half the world's ships, a domain that used to belong to the US, then Japan and afterwards Korea.

On average, theirs cost $55M and $330M if produced in Trumpistan.

Two days ago, Trump spoke in Congress about this. They wanna bulldoze their way into maintaining the superpower tag but the boat has already sailed. Imagine in three years, China produced 4,718 ships and the US only did 12 in total. Bonkers.

The largest exporter in the US by dollar value is Boeing.
Well, how are they able to put those big birds together, you ask?

Billionaires are taking a short term hit for supporting Trump. Trump wants to bring manufacturing jobs back so that it can benefit the working class and is taking a personal risk in doing so.

Yet the leftists keep saying Trump only cares about billionaires.

Entrepreneurs understand risk vs reward.
Before starting a war ensure you have enough teeth to cause a serious bite.
The US only has 4 pc of the World population. By the time they have reestablished their industries will there be people to buy what they produce? And will they be able to produce on a scale to be competitive?
Let us not forget that BRICS was already drifting away from USA and now they are alienating EU. Will the EU want to negotiate with the 4 pc (US pop) [in a world less reliant on the dollar] or 87 pc who are the remaining world population?

Since when did common sense get attached to a political ideology... I mean, why respond to stuff as if it's an attack and not merely an observation.. My brother in Christ, don't you see that's cultist behaviour?

I don't fully understand this, but leftism is cultism.

To some it is echoes of 1929

It's staggering that the U.S. markets lost $2 trillion due to the tariffs while Trump was out playing golf.

If I were American, I’d be furious. Yet, many people seem oblivious—almost in a trance. Ironically, the agricultural Midwest, which forms a key part of Trump's support base, stands to lose the most as China strikes back with countermeasures. But does he care? Clearly not.

This entire situation is a mess. One that scholars will likely analyse for decades to come.

The alternative would be the US govt eventually default on their debt. And you know, to cushion the Americans, the fed will do their thing and externalize the damage as much as possible, and it is countries that rely on the dollar that will be punished the most.

A painful reset one way or the other would be eventually needed.
