Budget phone recommendation

I am not a Futurama fan .
I have been having terrible experience using Google pixel devices on Safaricom. I understand CAK / regulations currently prohibit service providers from building new cell towers within a certain radius of a competitors tower . Instead they are supposed to share the tower .This seems to have affected the reception in our area .
Those with phones that support volte don't seem to have a problem but unfortunately Google pixel , volte provisioning seems to be an issue on Safaricom .
I have suffered and I am now willing jump ship to another brand that supports volte out of the box .
Recommendations zikuje , anything with huge camera lenses that resemble owl are out of my list .

How are you people talking about budget phones alafu you come out with simu za 60k? That's budget in America.

Chukua one of the Redmi Note series.
The Xiaomi shop shared all available phones and only Redmi are available I was hoping to get Xiaomi Mi variants. How are the MediaTek chips ? I am lost on what to settle for, I have been on vanilla Android since the days of Nokia 5 so the heavily customized themes will be a challenge for the first few days.

Why are you looking for Mediatek? Go for for a 5G Xiaomi with a proper Snapdragon.

I am already missing unlimited photo backup since i am not using the Google Pixel. But there is a workaround but it involves setting up a pixel to do the donkey work. It must be the first generation pixel or pixel XL. These models include unlimited, full-resolution photo backup.
I will have no option but to get the 1st gen pixel and enjoy the full-res unlimited photo backup to be connected to power and internet through in a shelf somewhere.

Anyone interested can check out this reddit post

This explains why the first-gen pixel is still at not less than USD 100 almost nine years later kumbe it is being used in other ways. I will try and get it on the dirt cheap.
