Government subsidising fuel ⛽

Elder Lister
Government is subsidising fuel and intends to increase its subsidies by a further KShs 11 to 13 bob per litre.

@Denis Young what's is your comment on this? I want to see something.

You demonised Uhuru for giving subsidies on fuel. Are you going to do the same to Ruto who will end up even giving more subsidies than Uhuru?
You do know their is a fund specifically for that, which we pay into for every liter of fuel we buy. Uhuru misappropriated those monies redirecting them for other budgetary uses against the law. Who doesn't remember that there was a 60B unpaid fuel subsidy bill by the time Uhuru was leaving government? So, what subsidy was Uhuru paying again?

Are you aware that Ruto illegally withdrew 58 billion from the Railway Development Levy to finance fuel subsidies between July 2023 and June 2024?

Anyway, you were totally against subsidies, but now you seem unsure given that Ruto is also giving subsidies.

Have you ever thought, that after Kaongo leaves,

You would have told so many lies

That you would not be able to recognize truth even when it finger-f***s you?

I am aware. Why did they have to do that? Was it to possibly pay out the 60bn arrears of Uhuru's subdies that he supposedly paid?

On being against subsidies, I totally am. But when it comes to fuel, we literally have a ring fenced fund for exactly that - fuel stabilization. That is not the same as borrowing money to subsidize like Uhuru did.

We also have the seed and fertilizer subsidy. You will never hear me against that. Look at the yield it has delivered. We are not importing maize to the point Tanzania are throwing tarrifs at us. We are not importing sugar. Milk production has gone up.
