Outlawz is an American hip hop group founded by rapper 2Pac in 1992, along with his cousin Kastro, childhood friend E.D.I. Mean, and godbrother Yafeu "Kadafi" Fula. The group originally went by the names Thoro Headz and Young Thugs. They first gained recognition by being featured on 2Pac's song "Flex," the B-side of his "Holla If Ya Hear Me" single, released on February 4, 1993. In late 1993, Mutah "Napoleon" Beale joined the group, which was then known as Dramacydal. They appeared on the songs "Me Against the World" and "Outlaw" from 2Pac's album Me Against the World, released on March 14, 1995.
The group, originally consisting of 10 members, was introduced as the Outlaw Immortalz on the song "When We Ride" from 2Pac's All Eyez on Me album in February 1996. The members included 2Pac as "Makaveli," Hussein Fatal, Yaki Kadafi, Big Syke, Mopreme Shakur, Big Malc, K-Dog, Lil Mu', E.D.I. Mean, Kastro, and Napoleon. Storm was introduced as the only female member by 2Pac in 1995 and began working on her solo album managed by Tupac.
In June 1996, Hussein Fatal, Kadafi, and E.D.I. were featured on 2Pac's diss track "Hit 'Em Up," credited as "The Outlawz." During the recording of All Eyez on Me and "Hit 'Em Up," Kadafi introduced his friend Rufus Cooper III to 2Pac. Cooper, under the alias "Young Noble," became the last member of the group and was featured on 2Pac's The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.
