So yesterday, after leaving Nyua Ciothe Bar at around 7 PM, I felt the urge to call Joy, my side chick, to prepare dinner for me since I had taken a lot of "alkoho." I called, and she immediately came and drove me home. To cut the story short, we ate and slept.
This morning, after realizing what we did, we rushed to the nearby chemist to buy some FP for her. We weren’t ready to be parents, especially since the chief’s daughter is already heavily pregnant for me.
As we stood there waiting to be served, a lady popped in and asked what could have caused arthritis. Among the people lined up, a man loudly responded, “Low sulfur in the body contributes to it, and it can also cause back pain.”
I turned to Joy and told her, “Even bulb onions need sulfur for good health.”
Sulfur is very important in onions because:
It helps in bulb formation-without it, onions remain small and weak.
It enhances pungency and flavor, giving onions their strong smell and taste.
It boosts disease resistance, preventing fungal infections.
It improves nutrient uptake, especially nitrogen, ensuring strong vegetative growth.
After applying phosphorus fertilizers, sulfur should be the next priority during the vegetative stage to help onions develop properly. A good source of sulfur is YaraBela Sulfan, which contains 24% nitrogen and 6% sulfur, making it a great choice for topdressing onions.
By the time I finished explaining all this to Joy, it was finally our turn to be served. But unfortunately, there was no FP left in stock. And since it was the only chemist in the village, we left praying that things go well!
