News Just in- One Term President!

Elder Lister
President Mokgeetsi Masisi of Botswana has just conceded defeat in the general elections.

He joins the infamous club of one term presidents with the likes of George Weah and Joe Biden. It will not be lonely for them as they will soon be joined by another shadowy character who I won't mention his name.

But who is Mr. Masisi? When he became president he fell out with his predecessor President Ian Kahama because of policy differences and other issues that were petty. FYI Ian Kahama is the son of Botswana's independence leader.

Kahama came back and decided to back another candidate. When interviewed by journalists this morning all Mr. Masisi could say was "Eloi Eloi Sasa Namnagani"

Viva Botswana. An African country with an enviable democracy and what can be termed as fair distribution of the national wealth that benefits the people all the way down. Went to Gaborone sometime back and despite them once having the highest ratio of HIV infections, the country is amazing to be in.

Fun fact, it's the closest nation in size to Kenya but with a fraction of the population. Perhaps @Field Marshal is right with his breeding like rats assertions.

Systems work there and if you're a lover of all things meat, you'll absolutely have a blast. Places they consider middle income huku would be in the upper echelons of society. Homes with swimming pools is the norm. Healthcare is free, and on the roads, you barely experience traffic, plus the infrastructure is really good.

This is a country with a GDP per capita almost four times that of Kenya and whose currency is ten times stronger than KES.

PS ~ How much do you think the swearing-in of Kindiki cost? We joke too much with public coffers here.
