1. Change in trends. Nobody waits for 7am or 9pm news anymore to see what happened.

2. Mr. 21% not paying Standard Group the money the government owes them hence higher finance costs to sustain operations.

correct, during demos, there were very many folks streaming live on TikTok. TikTok has changed the game a lot , i used to think it is only for soft porn.

Traditional media will have it rough unless they innovate very fast. They shot themselves during resistance to digital platform ,only citizen has managed to stay a float by constantly innovating.
 
They also need to be objective. Just because government is the biggest earner of revenue for them doesn't mean they lose the core of their job: unbiased reporting.
Also having their news paper/website behind a paywall does not help, if nobody will watch free news, who do they think will pay to read the same news? Atleast gazetti you can buy and still use it for other purposes

Atleast Royal media have a wide array of programs from morning. So you can listen and view some of that. Till they bring those soaps. In any case, coz of internet you can hop and land on videos from Japan on Transtel.
