Sir , why do you always think the government is right ?
Ask yourself before the downgrade our ratings were fantastic and we could access loans from the lenders but what can we show for the billions we have borrowed .The auditor general on 2019 audit indicated that half of the Euro bond never made it here . To you the rating is the most important thing ? Look around and give me just one project that has happened for the last two years even though we have borrowed more that the budget deficit .
Me and who ?Shida yenu
I surely don't know what I am saying but for those who know including you what do you propose ?And what do you mean borrowed more than our budget deficit? Do you know what you are talking about?
He didn't miss it. Remember he dismissed reports of growing discontent with an arrogant "This is not the time to be popular".I just wonder how he missed this, it was so obvious the finance bill would cause a revolt; I just don't know how he missed this
Who said I think the government is right?
Shida yenu is that you are not objective. You are busy having tantrums over spilt milk and in the process you are spilling more milk. The money we borrowed is long gone: spent, stolen, wasted, it doesn't matter now. Those are internal affairs. It is not our creditors' fault that our leaders didn't do anything constructive with the money. Now It is time to repay the cash. Do you go tell our creditors to wait as we investigate and prosecute those who have stolen and then we will pay?
The rating downgrade by Moody now makes it extremely hard, and surely very expensive to refinance our debt. That is how we managed to escape the Eurobond default, otherwise this country would have sunk already. Now wait and see the effect on our shilling and our interest rates.
And what do you mean borrowed more than our budget deficit? Do you know what you are talking about?
Hiking the prices (taxes) mostly leads to reducing spending ask the SGR tickets office .Always remember that Kenya doesn't have a revenue problem. We have a spending problem.

This is the 8 am train leaving in the next 50 minutes and four coaches will be empty if the open seats are anything to go by.
The same expenditure cuts are also on car insurance, after the hike last year most people shifted to third parties.
Naku elewa , my reply is to those who think raising taxes is the magic bullet. My point is let's solve corruption and wastage first.
The situation is likely to get worse as the demands will keep increasing now that GenZii have the upper hand. But we should be thankful that the anger bore street protests and nothing worse. In many other third-world countries, such discontent would have culminated in an armed rebellion or a military takeover.Seems Gen Z won't stop until sth gives, I don't know what radical thing this govt will do but am apprehensive on its options; cause there seems to be none that will make the new wave calm; every department seems to have it's weak points. Ruto is just an excuse, bad governance over the years is making him an example coupled by rude parliamentarians.

The bigHe has been in every single govt in the past 30 years except kibaki 1. If there's one person who understands what needs to be fixed, it is him
