Recently I had a PowerPoint presentation to make somehwere.
Power cables? Check.
Screen? Check.
Projector? Check.
Infrared remote? Check.
Laptop? Check.
As I was setting up, I realized that the PC I had wasn't compatible with the cables to connect to the projector. Ayayaaaa!
Now I have been thinking just how much ports have evolved with ever slimmer and less dynamic laptops as time has gone by.
Started with VGA being replaced by HDMI, next, the CD drive was made obsolete and the old reliable USB ports were in line with the latest addition being Type C which is now incorporated as a charging port. Kwanza hiyo ya USB inaudhi sana because we still use flash-disks in some ways.
I know wazee wa kijiji are thinking of the good old days of floppy disks but the transition then wasn't so quick. Just look at pic below.
Even more maddening is that we went from this...
To needing all these dongles.
Just an effing mess.
Waana mutheri mani.
Bonus ick: Having no headphones jack because everyone is into Bluetooth earpods. Nkt!
Proper TBT
